This was my first time photographing at the Lakeside Pavilion in Marble Falls. I beamed at the lakefront views and greenery surrounding the venue. The dark clouds and sprinkles of water warned us there'd be a storm and of course, they delivered. Not once, but three times. Just as I thought we'd have to reschedule their bride an groom portraits for after the wedding day, the clouds opened up just in time. Even throughout the hustle and busyness of the day, Ben and Kelly never lost sight of what was most important: each other.
Kelly shared an emotional first-look with her dad before the ceremony. She knew she would cry and I responded, "That's okay. He's your dad, you can cry". As I watched the moment unfold, naturally I cried too. One thing you'll notice about Kelly throughout these images is that she never stopped smiling. Even when I asked her to relax her smile and take in the moment, she giggled at the challenge.
A wedding isn't just about pretty flowers, the perfect cake, or the styles that are trending on The Knot Magazine or Wedding Wire. It's about the euphoric moments and playfulness you share when you step away from all the craziness. Ben and Kelly, It was quite an eventful day, but I wouldn't have had it any other way. You two are vibrant and lively to say the least. Thank you, thank you, thank you for gifting me your trust to photograph your wedding.

Kelly's suggestion to other brides in the planning process: "Get help. Plan ahead and don't procrastinate. If there's one thing I would have done differently is I would have started earlier."
Oh yes, she had pockets put into her dress!
