Texas Old Town Wedding Reception

I still remember the day I ran into Carlos & Alyssa's engagement announcement across Instagram, 9 months later, they're tying the knot! I have to say that as daddy's girl this wedding had me crazy emotional, and of course I did the girl thing and cried all over again as I was going back through the images.

While the Bride prepared at the home she grew up in, Carlos got ready at their new apartment. Alyssa's bed was replaced by a table with invitations, shoes, jewelry and boutonnieres, and the closet had been emptied with the exception of the one dress she'd wear. Her Casa Blanca gown was delicate as well as romantic with peachy pink undertones. I asked her if she'd let me borrow it for a night out, but all she did was giggle. :/

Mom showed me a handkerchief Alyssa had made for her dad, and of course my heart melted. It read, "Daddy, Of all the walks we have taken together, this one is my favorite. As the first man I have ever loved, when you give me away know I will always be your little girl. Love, Aly".

Carlos & Alyssa promised to fight through this life and journey together and asked their family and friends to witness their ceremony and vow to support their promises made to one another. The ceremony was followed by the reception at the Sage hall in Texas Old Town. Alyssa was a very organized bride from the start so I knew her wedding would be filled with details and sentiments. Upon entering the venue they were greeted by the surprise mariachi. They did an amazing job, and so did Bill Miller's. :P That BBQ hit the spot.

After an emotional father-daughter dance, The bride and groom had their first dance. Alyssa couldn't contain her smile. She was truly in the moment, and I'm sure her cheeks were hurting by the end of the night. This started off an evening of dancing, cake and celebration.

Aly & Los, I hope you're enjoying your honeymoon in Cancun, I wish you would have taken me with you since it's spring break and all, but whatever -- maybe next time?
